Subreality evokes the point of view we all must take: one in which we are aware of the many realities that exist simultaneously. As one changes his/her vantage point a glimpse can be taken into completely different worlds - both outside of us and within us. ‘Subreality is an attempt to capture a glimpse of the ever evolving states of realities that are part of the human experience' says Ascension.

This cut explores big beat inspired grooves combined with a razor-sharp analog acid line. The track somewhat ‘appeared’ one evening from playing around in his Amsterdam based studio, combining the vintage Elka Synthex Synthesiser (a personal favourite of synth legend Jean-Michel Jarre) in combination with the Roland TR-505 drum computer. The end result is an ‘acidesque’ bass line type hook which serves as a repeating and driving motif throughout the track.
